On a very short notice Tikvesh today announced that the 2025 edition of the traditional tournament Vuko Karov will be held this Thursday, 13 November.

The national team break in which the top two Macedonian leagues won’t be playing will be used for the 25th edition of the Vuko Karov tournament.

The format remain the same: single day tournament with Italian system used, each match lasting 45 minutes. It will begin at 11.30 CET.

This year’s participants, besides hosts Tikvesh, are two second leagues sides: regional big rivals Vardar from Negotino and Teteks from Tetovo. For both of them it will be only their second appearance. Vardar will appear after long 29 years as they finished 5th (last) in 1996, while Teteks came 3rd (last) in 2018.

It is very strange that Tikvesh decided to put the tournament in the middle of a working and school day instead of the weekend. This unpopular move is already criticized by the local fans who won’t be able to attend.
