In group A, Germany celebrated a 5:1 win against Scotland and are now topping the table with 6 points. England also managed to grab the victory against Italy with two late goals, although they were down by 1 since the 6th minute.
Spain and France played a tight match on National Arena Philip II of Macedon. Both teams were cautious and Le Garrec’s header was crucial for the match. Spain had excellent chance to tie the gamejust before the final whistle, but after a corner-kick the ball only hit the post and French defence cleared the danger.
Macedonia suffered another heavy defeat. This time 0:7 to Netherlands. If they managed to be less vulnerable against Spain, this time the defence was full of holes like Swiss cheese. Dutch team was up by 1 in the first minute and did not find it hard to keep the winning spirit throughout whole match. They stopped at number 7 with scoring goals, while Macedonia once again did not even had a shot attempt.
