Spain and France played a tight match on National Arena Philip II of Macedon. Both teams were cautious and Le Garrec’s header was crucial for the match. Spain had excellent chance to tie the gamejust before the final whistle, but after a corner-kick the ball only hit the post and French defence cleared the danger.
Macedonia suffered another heavy defeat. This time 0:7 to Netherlands. If they managed to be less vulnerable against Spain, this time the defence was full of holes like Swiss cheese.
