Tikvesh sacked their manager Nikola Gligorov and hired Blagoja Kitanovski instead.
Gligorov’s bad results with Tikvesh reached their peak last weekend when the popular Winegrowers lost at home against Makedonija Gjorche Petrov. In 6 rounds Gligorov recorded only one win, three draws and two defeats which placed Tikvesh on the disappointing 12th place.
New manager Blagoja Kitanovski takes over to try and save the season for Tikvesh who were among the promotion candidates before the start. His first adventure will be a road game against Lokomotiva next weekend. Kitanovski is a former midfielder from Bitola and as a manager has managed Tikvesh briefly in 2003. He has also been in charge at Pelister, Sloga Jugomagnat and Milano.
