The former German national team player Thomas Brdarić was brought by Shkendija during the winter break with the hope for reaching Vardar in the league, but the new manager ended up increasing the gap even more and losing the title already 5 rounds before the end of the season. The change however still comes romether unexpected, considering that Shkendija is still competiting in the Macedonian Cup where they face Pelister in the final in only one week, which leaves very little time for the new temporary manager to prepare the team for that game.

Erhan Selimi will take over the position as temporary manager and finish the remaining 5 games of the season, whereas Kjatip Osmani is expected to be assigned as new manager from June.
