Metodija and Kiril Stepanovski are no loner Pelister players as the former was sent on loan to Napredok, while the latter became a free agent.
Pelister’s official website, pelisterfc.com, announced today that the 30-year-old twins Metodija and Kiril Stepanovski have left the club. Both players opened the season as starters at CB and LB, respectively, but Pelister recently made several signings on defense that would limit the playing time of both players. Right-back Vladica Brdarovski was signed along with Bulgarian CB Martin Kovachev. In addition, Pelister also has other young defenders in Hristijan Dragarski and Tome Kitanovski. Those four players started in the four men defense for Pelister in the previous league game against Gostivar.
The Stepanovski twins were obviously not happy to lose their starting spot, and Pelister mentioned that Metodija has not been attending trainings recently, while Kiril refused to travel with the club for the recent away match against Gostivar. Therefore, both players were let go by the club, Metodija being sent on a 1 year loan to Napredok, while Kiril becomes a free agent.
In addition, Pelister also announced today that Dejan Leskaroski has been loaned to Gorno Lisiche until the end of the season, while the contract of Blagoja Markovski was terminated, making him a free agent.
