The Second League is back in action after the long winter break. Makedonija GjP, Kozhuf Miravci and Gostivar celebrated wins, while leader Shkupi was held by Skopje.
Gostivar earned an important 3 points in the battle for the second spot that leads to direct promotion. They beat Gorno Lisiche at home thanks to a brace by Elvir Nurishi, one of their new winter signings from Shkendija.
A penalty kick after 15 minutes of play proved to be decisive in the Skopje neighborhood of Gjorche Petrov where local team Makedonija GjP beat Drita. The lone goal was a successfully converted penalty by Husein Demiri.
Kozhuf from Miravci took the 3 points from the road game against bottom ranked Napredok. The visitors were expected to win by a bigger margin considering the fact that Napredok lost many of its players this winter, but nevertheless three points are three points and Kozhuf will take them.
Table leaders Shkupi played on the road against local rivals Skopje. Former national team striker Goran Maznov opened the scoring for Shkupi, but the hosts secured a point after Dario Desnikj scored 7 minutes from time.
The derby of this round between promotion candidates Mladost Carev Dvor and Vlazrimi 77 was moved for Monday due to stadium problems. Mladost’s stadium in the village of Carev Dvor is still under construction, while the one that they are currently using in the nearby town of Resen is in bad condition due to the icy winter. Therefore, this game will be played at Pelister’s home venue, the Tumbe Kafe stadium, in Bitola.
