Attacker Stevica Ristic scored directly from a free kick to help Suwon advance to the quarter-finals of the South Korean Cup.

Stevica Ristic played from the start for Suwon and scored the second and final goal for his team in the 54th minute.  The goal came directly from a free kick in the 2:0 victory for Suwon over rival Seoul.  The first goal for Suwon came in the 41st minute and was a result of an own goal by a Seoul defender.  With the win, Suwon advanced to the quarter-finals of the domestic cup.
