Five matches of the 25th round took place today and all of them ended in victories for the home teams with Vardar and Metalurg leading the way with dominant performances.
In one of the more interesting matches of the round, Bregalnica hosted Napredok and managed to keep the three points in Shtip, although they were down by one at halftime. However, in the second half, Bregalnica played more inspired football and scored three consecutive goals, two of which came courtesy of Ivan Mitrov who is in great form at the moment. Napredok then reduced the deficit to 3:2 in the 85th minute with Glavevski’s goal but that proved to be the final scoreline as Bregalnica held on to the minimal home victory.
The top two teams on the table, Vardar and Metalurg, had no problems and recorded convincing home victories over Ohrid and Teteks, respectively. Vardar won 4:0 against Ohrid with Filip Ivanovski leading the way with a hat-trick, while Metalurg destroyed Teteks 5:0 with one goal apiece by Stevanović, Kralevski, Churlinov, Nestorovski and Nachevski.
Rabotnichki lost once again, this time to Sileks. The lone goal of the match was scored by Angel Nacev early in the 4th minute. Renova collected three points against last placed 11 Oktomvri but it was harder then expected. Janchevski and Nuhiu scored early goals to hand Renova a 2:0 lead by the 10th minute, but Geshoski and Aceski then managed to level the score by the 55th minute. However, Janchevski added one more goal to make it 3:2 and keep Renova in fourth place.
The round will conclude tomorrow with Shkendija hosting Horizont Turnovo in Tetovo.
