Srecko Katanec continued in his style and told his decision to the Macedonian Football Federation president Haralampie Hadzi-Risteski by phone, in the last hours of the 3 week ultimatum given to think about the offer.

Besides the other offers he had in the last few weeks including the one from his home country Slovenia, Katanec accepted the offer from Macedonia. Obviously the main reason is the same contract from the last qualifications where he had big freedom and the chance to stay at home in Slovenia and come to Macedonia only on couple of days before the matches.
