The win against Serbia launched Macedonia to the 83rd place of the newest FIFA world ranking list, moving up 21 places.
The Macedonian fans don’t remember when was the last time that their national team had moved this much. The minimal 1:0 home win against Serbia thanks to a penalty goal by Agim Ibraimi brought Macedonia points that lead the national team up to the 83rd place, which is still low but compared to the 100th place that Macedonia used to occupy, it’s a pleasure to see. The move could have been bigger if prior to the Serbia game Macedonia didn’t lose at home by Croatia. Macedonia has 97 points more than last month’s ranking list and the friendly against Slovenia next week is a chance to improve even more.
