Macedonia’s win against Latvia earlier this month moved the national team one spot in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola rankings list for the month of March.
Macedonia has accumulated 421 points for the month of March, a number that is good enough for the 82nd position on the FIFA rankings that were updated today. Over the past month, Macedonia played the one friendly against Latvia which also happened to be the debut for new manager Boshko Gjurovski’s debut. Macedonia won 2:1 in that friendly, but the points gained were minimal as illustrated by the jump of just one spot on the FIFA rankings. Macedonia still remains the lowest ranked team in the Balkan region.
