The new generation who will take part in the next U21 qualifications (for players born in 1998 and later) had it’s first friendly. The game took place in Podgorica and our team suffered a narrow loss against Serbia. Coach Dobrinko Ilievski fielded Bozhinoski on goal, Jovanov, Trajanovski, Rufati and Todoroski in defense, Zdravkovski, Tosheski and Atanasov in midfield, while Trapanovski and Mitrovski played on the wings and Ristovski at center-forward.
Even though a friendly the game was played with a lot of aggression what resulted besides a bunch of yellow cards also in one red card for Serbia and two red cards for Macedonia (the central defenders Trajanovski and Rufati). Eventually Serbia won the game thanks to the lone goal scored by Aleksa Terzić in the 58th minute.
