Macedonia’s U21 national team had a draw away to Israel, like in the draw at home it was again Jani Atanasov who equalized through a free kick.

Coach Blagoja Milevski started with Jankov on goal, Todoroski, Antovski, Serafimov and Stoimenovski in defense, Zdravkovski and captain Atanasov were in midfield, Ackovski, Mitrovski and Churlinov played in front of them, while Miovski was the CF.
The match was delayed as the Ukrainian referee tested positive for COBID-19, so the 4th official took charge while an Israele referee was added as fourth official.
Unfortunately, Israel opened the score already after some seconds with Yosefi’s goal. That was the lone goal in the first half.
At the start of the second half three new Macedonian players were introduced with Toshevski, Fazliu and Ilievski. In the 52nd minute Churlinov had a chance to equalize through a penalty after Miovski was fouled in the box, but he missed the opportunity. In the 60th minute Miovski hit the woodwork with a shot.
Then, in the 76th minute, finally Macedonia scored a goal when Atanasov took a free kick and converted. Afterwards Daci and Elezi came off the bench to strengthen the offense and go for a win, but in vain as no more goals were netted in this game.
Upcoming Tuesday the 17th at 13:30 CET Macedonia hosts Montenegro for the last game of this U21 EURO qualifications. It will a routine match as with this draw Macedonia lost the chances to be among the best 5 runner-ups in order to qualify.
