U19 & U17 learn opponents for next qualifiers

After failing to reach the Elite round, now the next generations of U19 and U17 national teams will have a try after learning their opponents for the next qualifiers.

Both national teams entered the draw from Pot 3 of the four pots.

The Macedonian U19 national team was drawn into Group 11 alongside England, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Luxembourg. That is the first rounf of qualifiers for the 2020 U19 EURO in Northern Ireland. We were in the same group with Luxembourg in the last qualifiers in which the young Lynx failed to reach the Elite round despite beating Luxembourg 2:0.

Macedonia will be host of the qualifying tournament that will be played from 13-19 November 2019. The top two in each of the 13 groups, along with the third-placed team with the best record against the leading pair, will follow top seeds Portugal into the Elite round in spring 2020.

The younger national team also failed to reached the Elite round of the current qualifiers. For the next, the ones for the 2020 U17 EURO in Estonia, Macedonia will have to fight against Belgium, Poland and Liechtenstein in the Group 1.

The qualifying tournament will be played in Poland from 9-15 October 2019. The top two in every group, along with the four third-placed sides with the best records against the leading pair, will follow top seeds Spain and England into the elite round in March 2020.
