U19: Three defeats in qualification tournament (Video)

Macedonia U19Macedonia U19 suffered three defeats in three matches in the UEFA U19 qualification tournament played in Poland.

Macedonian U19 national team did not produce a good play in Poland in the qualification tournament for U19 European Championship Elite Round. Macedonia was in group with the hosts Poland, Slovakia and Northern Ireland. The team suffered three defeats in three games and got the last place on the table.

On the first match day, Poland defeated Macedonia 4:0 after a goalless first half. The hosts stepped up in the second half and managed to score 4 goals.

In the second leg, manager Nesimi made some changes to the starting line-up, but the team suffered another defeat, this time to Northern Ireland. Once again, it was 0:0 on half-time. On this match, Macedonia scored the only goal of the tournament and it was credited to Eljif Elmas.

Same story in the third match. After a goalless first half, the opponents – in this case Slovakia, stepped up in the second half and got the win. It is worth noting that the manager did not use all three subs in any of the games and in the match against Northern Ireland only used 1.
