First of all, there was location switch. Instead of playing the first match in Albania and the second in Macedonia, it was decided to first play in Ohrid and then head across the border to Korçë.
The winner was decided with a lone goal scored very early into the game from the spot. Macedonia was awarded a penalty kick after just minutes of play and captain Behar Feta successfully converted it bringing the lead. The score did not change until the final whistle with both teams missing few chances.
