Trajkovski, Nestorovski half-season champions (Video)

Aleksandar Trajkovski and Ilija Nestorovski won the half-season title in the Serie B after securing the first places with Thursday’s 3:0 smashing of Salernitana in which Aleks assisted, while Ile made a come back after the injury.

Great news coming from Italy. Palermo, the club of Aleksandar Trajkovski and Ilija Nestorovski ended the first half-season in the second league on top after a convincing home win over Salernitana that confirmed the first place.

Both Macedonians started the game. For Nestorovski, who captains the popular Rosaneri, it was the first game after recovering from the injury that sidelined him for almost 4 weeks and made him miss four games. His injury launched Trajkovski in the starting 11 and allowed him to regain his form making him currently the most in form players of the Rosaneri.

Palermo went on half-time with a 1:0 lead. In the 69th minute Nestorovski was substituted with Gaetano Monachello as it was enough for him after the injury.

His substitute doubled the lead ten minutes latter thanks to an assist by Trajkovski. Aleks received a pass near midfield, then made a sick turn which embarrassed his marker. He then went on a long run before setting up Monachello for the goal. That was great skill from Trajkovski.

In the 83rd minute the second Macedonian player left the field to make place for Polish defender Paweł Dawidowicz as coach Bruno Tedino opted not to take any risks and defend the lead although Salernitana played with 10 men since the 52nd minute when Luigi Vitale collected his second yellow card. His first yellow card was in the first half for a foul on Nestorovski. The last goal was scored deep into the injury time.
