Midfielder Milosh Tosheski captained his Serbian team Brodarac for the entire 90 minutes but despite playing at home he and his teammates were unable to match the mighty Manchester United. The young Devils won with 2:0 in Belgrade and advanced in the quarter-finals. Tosheski played all 5 games in this competitions.
Attacking midfielder Dimitar Mitrovski was for the first time part of Sporting’s squad in the UEFA Youth League. He stayed on the bench watching his teammates getting smashed with 5:2 away to Salzburg in Austria.
Mitrovski is an active U19 national team player, while Tiosheski still waits for his first cap at this level as previously played for the U17s.
