Newest signing for Shkendija is Nigerian left back Alma Wakili who played against them last summer in the Europa League qualifications.

The 21-year-old Nigerian international comes from Lithuanian side Trakai with whom he faced Shkendija in the 3rd qualifying round. Alma Abbo Wakili played 84 minutes in the 2:1 win in the first leg at home and then played the whole game in the return leg in Strumica when his side got eliminated with a 3:0 defeat.
Seems like he has left quite an impression to Shkendija since they decided to sign him for the problematic left back position. He will have a chance to play against his former Trakai teammate Maksim Maksimov who is now at Vardar.
Wakili played for Trakai since the summer of 2016 when he was signed from Eupen. It wsa the Belgian club that brought him to Europe from the Aspire academy in Senegal.
