The most controversial season in the history of the Macedonian football is over. Renova wins the title in the 2009/2010 Macedonian First League in a season where 12 teams started, but only 9 finished the competition.
Renova won their first title in the short history of the club and will represent Macedonia in the Champions League qualifications. Rabotnicki and Metalurg will play in the qualifications for the UEFA Europa League, while Milano will play in the play-out against the 4th placed team from the Macedonian Second League.
Knowing the champion on few rounds before the end and knowing that no team will be relegated directly, there were no excitements in the last round of the season which should be forgotten very soon. Here are the results from the last round:
Vardar – Sileks 2:0 (1:0)
39’ Artim Polozani, 56’ Ardian Nuhiu
Renova – Rabotnicki 0:1 (0:0)
61’ Fabio Silva
Horizont Turnovo – Pelister 0:1 (0:0)
57’ Antonio Bujcevski
Teteks – Metalurg 0:0 (0:0)
