Head coach Igor Angelovski today revealed the plan for the preparations prior to the EURO. The Macedonian team will gather on May 25 and will be training and preparing in Skopje until June 8 when they will head to Bucharest, the host city of our opening two matches. In-between, on May 29, Slovenia will visit Skopje for a friendly.
“Slovenia is an opponent that according to me is quite similar in quality to Austria and Ukraine. Because we will play three matches in March I think it is fairly enough to have only one match before heading to our base in Bucharest on the 8th”, said Angelovski during an interview for Sitel TV.
It will be our 7th match against Slovenia and 5th friendly. Slovenia is actually the team against we players our first two matches as independent nation.
