Goran Pandev again scored against one of his former clubs, this time for a 2:0 win for Genoa over Inter at Marassi. Seems like he enjoys scoring against his former Lazio and Inter.

Genoa hosted Inter on Saturday night with Pandev among the starting eleven. After just 9 minutes of play he had a chance to break the dead lock, but it was an easy save for Samir Handanović as he went too much on the right and closed his angle. Later he almost accidentally scored from a distance. He sent a long ball to Oscar Hiljemark in the box, the Swede seemed confused and let the ball, while Handanović thought it will go near the goal so he also left it. Instead the ball went into the goal but hit the crossbar.
His team took the lead thanks to an unlucky own goal scored by Andrea Ranocchia after a clearance from Milan Škriniar in the last seconds before the break. Pandev doubled the lead in the 59th minute when he intercepted a poor shot by Laxalt and beat the visiting keeper from inside the box.
His chance (at 0:17), crossbar (at 0:31) & goal (3:00):
In the 80th minute he received a standing ovation as Darko Lazović took his place. In the 80 minutes he played, Pandev was very active, constantly creating and pressing, he seemed like in his best form from the past. This is the third consecutive win for Pandev and his teammates who are playing in great form under new manager Davide Ballardini. For Goran, this was the 13th start in a row and third goal this season.
It is interesting to not that the 3 goals he scored so far this season are against Lazio, Chievo and Inter, the same clubs that he scored against last season as well. Seems like his former clubs Inter and Lazio are his favorites for scoring against. He still hasn’t scored against Napoli though.
