Boban Nikolov has officialized his transfer to Hungarian side Videoton and was already promoted as new member of the team.
The 23-year-old midfielder, who was one of the key players of the Macedonian U21 team that participated at the 2017 EURO in Poland, eventually made the step forward in his career moving abroad from the domestic championship.
Nikolov successfully played for Vardar, winning two league titles and one Super Cup. Most recently he was a key figure in Vardar’s historic qualification to the Europa League group stage.
For the Shtip born player this won’t be the first foreign adventure as after his native club Bregalnica he played in Romania for Academia Gheorghe Hagi and Viitorul from Constanța, before coming to Vardar.
“I am very happy that I joined Videoton and I would like to point out that my goal is to become champion of Hungary. I did not hesitate to make this transfer. I did a great job with Vardar as we managed to get into the Europa League group stage, which is a great experience for a young player, but I am convinced that here we could make a better achievement in the UEFA tournaments.” said Nikolov during his presentation.
