UEFA Champions League, Quarter-finals, Inter – Schalke 04 2:5

Goran Pandev was an unused substitute for Inter who suffered a humiliating loss by conceding five goals at home against Schalke 04.  The Inter attack was creating chances and they played well for the most part but the defending was atrocious.  The Inter defenders struggled throughout the game dealing with headers from crosses even though CB Andrea Ranocchia is 1.95 m tall and was going up against players who were much shorter.  It seems Inter has lost their identity under manager Leonardo as they have looked very shaky on defense over the past couple of games.
