Goran Popov (up row, 3rd from right) before the Europa League gameMartin Bogatinov conceded a soft goal for Karpaty Lviv after he made a huge blunder that resulted in an own goal, Deni Krleski scored a goal for Grasshopper in the Viareggio Cup, while Goran Popov and Dynamo Kyiv advanced to the Europa League Round of 16 where they will face Manchester City.

UEFA Champions League, Round of 16, Inter – Bayern München 0:1
Goran Pandev was an unused substitute for Inter as manager Leonardo decided to start a rather defensive formation with Samuel Eto’o as the lone striker in a 4-3-2-1 formation.  Bayern München scored the only goal of the game in the 90th minute when Arjen Robben took a powerful shot from outside of the box which was initially saved by Inter keeper Júlio César but Mario Gomez scored on the rebound with an easy goal from close range.  Seconds after Bayern scored the goal, Leonardo ordered Pandev to be substituted but there were only two minutes of added time and the two minutes expired without any foul or the ball going out of play so the referee blew the final whistle and Pandev didn’t get a chance to enter the game.  The return leg will be at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany on March 15th.

UEFA Europa League, Round of 32, Dynamo Kyiv – Beşiktaş 4:0
Goran Popov started at LB and played the entire game for Dynamo Kyiv who easily defeated Beşiktaş by winning 8:1 on aggregate over the two games and they advanced to the next round of the Europa League where they will face Manchester City.

Cyprus, Marfin Laiki League, Omonia – Enosis Neon Paralimni 0:0

Petar Milosevski played from the start for Enosis Neon Paralimni and kept a clean sheet, Bojan Markoski started at CB and played the entire game, while Zoran Baldovaliev also got the start and played until the 55th minute when he was replaced by Mark Burchill.

Moldova, Divizia Naţională, Sfîntul Gheorghe – Sheriff 1:1
Jasmin Mecinovik played the entire game for Sheriff who will be disappointed with the result as they only picked up a point against the last placed team in Moldova.

Hungary, Magyar Kupa, Kecskeméti – Debrecen 1:0
Mirsad Mijadinoski did not play for Debrecen who advanced to the next round of the Magyar Kupa by winning 2:1 on aggregate.

Italy, Viareggio Cup, Parma – Nordsjælland 2:1
Stefan Ristovski played all 90 minutes for Parma in the Viareggio Cup which is one of the most famous youth tournaments in the world and a great chance for young players to be discovered.

Italy, Viareggio Cup, Genoa – Parma 1:0
Stefan Ristovski played the entire game for Parma.

Italy, Viareggio Cup, Lazio – Grasshopper 4:3
Deni Krleski played the 1st half for Grasshopper and also picked up a yellow card during the game.

Italy, Viareggio Cup, Torino – Grasshopper 2:1
Deni Krleski played the entire game for Grasshopper and scored the only goal for his team in the 84th minute.

Friendly, Sibir – Krasnodar 1:3
Velice Sumulikoski played from the start for Sibir and also picked up a yellow card in the 41st minute.

Friendly, Karpaty Lviv – Silkeborg 2:1
Martin Bogatinov played the 1st half for Karpaty Lviv and he conceded an unfortunate goal in the 30th minute as a result of an own goal by Taras Petrivskyi but Bogatinov was at fault on the goal.  Petrivskyi attempted a pass back to Bogatinov who tried to play the ball but he couldn’t control the ball and it went past him for an embarrassing goal.  After the game, Bogatinov apologized for the mistake and said it will not happen again in the future.

Friendly, Partizan – Srem 1:1
Aleksandar Lazevski played the 2nd half for Partizan.

Friendly, Sevastopol – Ventspils 2:0
Besart Ibraimi started for Sevastopol and played until the 59th minute when he was replaced by Aleksandar Mladenov.
