Midweek internationals performances (28-30.08 ’18)

Ivan Trichkovski recorded three assists to help AEK qualify for the Europa League group stage. There will be three Macedonians in this competition with Trichko’s teammate Daniel Mojsov, Arijan Ademi of Dinamo and Boban Nikolov of Vidi. Unfortunately there will be none in the Champions League.

UEFA Champions League, Greece AEK – Hungary Vidi 1:1 (3:2 agg.)
Boban Nikolov got booked early in the 7th minute and on half-time remained in the locker room as Máté Pátkai substituted him. It was goalless at the time. His team got eliminated and will enter the Europa League group stage.

UEFA Champions League, Croatia Dinamo – Switzerland Young Boys 1:2 (2:3 agg.)
Arijan Ademi got injured and eventually substituted after 32 minutes with Ivan Šunjić. His Dinamo was leading 1:0 at the time but conceded two goals in the second half and got eliminated. They will now enter the Europa League group stage, but Arijan will surely miss the first round match as he will be out for a month.

UEFA Europa League, Cyprus AEK – Slovakia Trenčín 3:0 (4:1 agg.)
Captain Ivan Trichkovski had a great match as he assisted to all the goals his team scored. In the first two goals he provided the final pass while the last assist was the best as he assisted with a header. He also had two scoring chances but on both occasion the vising keeper was successful. Trichko and his teammate Daniel Mojsov played the whole match as AEK qualified to the group stage.

UEFA Europa League, Slovakia Spartak – Slovenia Olimpija 1:1 (3:1 agg.)
Daniel Avramovski went with the team in Slovakia but was one of the two players that got dropped from the final squad and therefore watched the game from the stands. His team failed to reach the group stage.

Australia, FFA Cup, Melbourne City – Newcastle United Jets 1:0
Daniel Georgievski played the whole game and picked up a yellow card in the 40th minute. His team ended the cup adventure in the eight-finals.

England, Carabao Cup, Leeds United – Preston North End 0:2
Ezgjan Alioski was given a rest but as his team was down two goals he came in for Tyler Roberts in the 60th minute. His team got eliminated in the 16-finals.

Saudi Arabia, Dawri Al-Muhtarifin Al-Saudi‎, Al-Ettifaq – Al-Ra’ed 1:1
Ferhan Hasani made his debut for Al-Ra’ed as the new season in the Saudi Arabian top flight begun. He started the game and played until the 65th minute when attacker Yassine El Ghanassy took his place. His team was loosing 1:0 at the time.
