Midweek internationals performances (25-27.12 ’18)

Six teams featuring Macedonian footballers were active this midweek. Only two did something worth noting: Alioski hit the post, while Trajkovski took part in two goals.

Belgium, Jupiler Pro League, Charleroi – Standard 0:1
Gjoko Zajkov watched the game from the home bench.

England, Championship, Leeds United – Blackburn Rovers 3:2
Ezgjan Alioski played the whole game on the right wing as his Leeds recorded a stunning come from behind win by scoring twice in the stoppage time. Alioski hit the post in the 36th minute.

Risto Mitrevski played the entire match in the home team back line. His team is currently 6th and will fight to secure a place in the play-off group.

Goran Pandev for the third game under new manager Cesare Prandelli remained an unused sub.

Italy, Serie B, Palermo – Ascoli 3:0
Aleksandar Trajkovski played the full game while Ilija Nestorovski is out with an injury. Aleks Trajkovski was involved in the action for two goals. The second goal saw hiss long range shot saved, but his teammate Ivaylo Chochev scored on the rebound, while Aleks took the free kick which resulted in the third goal. Palermo is topping the table.

Saudi Arabia, Dawri Al-Muhtarifin Al-Saudia, Al-Ra’ed – Al-Taawon 2:1
Ferhan Hasani entered the field in the 72nd minute taking the place of Saleh Al-Shehri. The substitution happened ten minuted after his team took a 2:0 lead. Very important three points in the battle for avoiding relegation taken from a team placed fourth.
