Trajkovski shoots wide from a good position; photo: hln.beVanche Shikov and Daniel Ivanovski scored one goal apiece for their respective teams, while the play-off round of the Champions League and Europa League qualifications got underway with the playing of the first legs.

UEFA Champions League, Play-off Round, Steaua București – Legia Warszawa 1:1
Daniel Georgievski played the entire game for Steaua București who took the initial lead in the 34th minute before conceding the equalizer early in the 2nd half.

UEFA Champions League, Play-off Round, Viktoria Plzeň – Maribor 3:1
Agim Ibraimi started for Maribor and played until the 88th minute when he made way for Jean-Philippe Mendy.  Ibraimi mainly threatened from long range shots that were saved by the Viktoria Plzeň keeper.

UEFA Europa League, Play-off Round, St. Gallen – Spartak Moskva 1:1
Muhamed Demiri remains out with an injury for St. Gallen.

UEFA Europa League, Play-off Round, Maccabi Haifa – Astra 2:0
Mirko Ivanovski played all 90 minutes for Astra who conceded a goal in each half on their way to a road loss against Maccabi Haifa.  Ivanovski had his best chance in the 68th minute, but his header went slightly over the goal.

UEFA Europa League, Play-off Round, Zulte Waregem – APOEL 1:1
Aleksandar Trajkovski opened on the bench for Zulte Waregem before he entered the game in the 74th minute replacing Thorgan Hazard.  Trajkovski had a huge chance in the 88th minute that would have made it 2:0 for the home team, but Aleksandar shot wide from a great position inside the area.  Then, moments later, APOEL grabbed the equalizer to set up for an interesting return leg in Cyprus next week.

The big miss by Trajkovski (at 3:10):

UEFA Europa League, Play-off Round, Dinamo Tbilisi – Tottenham 0:5
Darko Glishikj played the opening 45 minutes for Dinamo Tbilisi before he was substituted at the start of the 2nd half by Giorgi Papava.  Dinamo Tbilisi suffered a heavy first leg defeat at home to clinch certain elimination from the competition with not much hope for the return leg.

UEFA Europa League, Play-off Round, Apollon – Nice 2:0
Bojan Markoski was not included in the Apollon squad due to an injury.

UEFA Europa League, Play-off Round, Qarabağ – Eintracht Frankfurt 0:2
Muarem Muarem started for Qarabağ and played until the 68th minute when he was replaced by Vüqar Nadirov.  Muarem had a big chance in the 63rd minute to level the score at 1:1, but his close range header was right at the Eintracht Frankfurt keeper.

Ukraine, Premyer-Liha, Volyn – Karpaty 1:1
Vanche Shikov played the entire game for Volyn and scored the lone goal for his team in the 55th minute, while Martin Bogatinov was not included in the 18 player squad by Karpaty.  Shikov’s goal came on a close range header after a loose ball inside the area following a corner kick.

Sweden, Allsvenskan, Mjällby – Helsingborg 4:3
Daniel Ivanovski played all 90 minutes for Mjällby and scored his first goal of the season in the 62nd minute with a powerful right footed shot from inside the area, reacting quickest after a blocked shot by a Mjällby teammate.

Sweden, Svenska Cupen, Tenhults – Mjällby 1:3
Daniel Ivanovski was not included in the Mjällby squad due to a tendon injury that the club’s manager said is not serious.

Sweden, Svenska Cupen, Nyköpings – Häcken 0:1
Leonard Zuta started at left-back for Häcken and played all 90 minutes in the narrow road victory over Nyköpings.  With the win, Häcken advanced to the next round of the Swedish Cup.

Thailand, Toyota Thai Premier League, Chiangrai United – Muangthong United 1:3
Mario Gjurovski got the start for Muangthong United and played until the 69th minute when he was substituted by Jakkraphan Pornsai.

Japan, J2 League, Giravanz Kitakyushu – Gifu 2:0
Bazhe Ilijoski started for Gifu and played until the 72nd minute when he was replaced by Kiroki Higuchi.  Ilijoski also received a yellow card in the 57th minute.
