Jasmin Mecinovikj and Darko Micevski will continue their careers in the Lebanese top flight side Nejmeh thus becoming the first Macedonians to play in this Middle East country.
The 27-year-old central defender spent 7,5 months playing for another Asian club, the Melaka United on the other side of the continent, in far away Malaysia. Seems like Mecinovikj enjoys trying new things as so far he has changed clubs in various countries including Armenia, Moldova, Norway, Hungary and Malaysia. In Macedonia he played for Skopje, Makedonija GjP, Turnovo, Renova and Pelister. The Serbian born player has been capped for the U21 national team, but so far never got a chance in the senior team.
Two years younger defensive midfielder Micevski comes after a 10 months adventure in Belarusian side Minsk. Similar as Jasmin, Darko has also changed many clubs, but only in Macedonia and Serbia, excluding Minsk. He has played for every youth Macedonian national team, but was never summoned for the seniors.
Their new club Nejmeh is from the capital city of Beirut. They have been champions of Lebanon eight times with their last title being in 2014. After 12 rounds in the current season Nejmeh is second with only a point behind leaders and holders Al-Ahed.
