Macedonian internationals performances

Vlatko Grozdanoski Vlatko Grozdanoski scored his first goal for AEL, Ilco Naumoski starts for Mattersburg following a four game suspension, and Goran Pandev returns to the Stadio Olimpico for the first time since his contract with Lazio was rescinded.

Italy, Serie A, Roma – Inter 2:1
Goran Pandev returned to the Stadio Olimpico but started on the bench before he came on in the 59th minute replacing Dejan Stakovic with Inter losing 1:0.  Pandev added some creativity and Inter equalized in the 67th minute through Diego Milito with a goal that should not have counted as it was clearly offside.  Inter then almost took the lead in the 72nd minute when Pandev provided a great pass to Milito but he could not control the ball cleanly and the Roma keeper pounced on the ball.  A minute later, Roma scored the game winning goal which brings them only a point behind Inter for 1st place in Serie A.  There were a total of ten yellow cards in the match.

Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Mainz – Wolfsburg 0:2
Nikolce Noveski had another solid game as Mainz played better than the defending Bundesliga champions but they were very unlucky and their finishing let them down.  Noveski had a chance to open the scoring in the 12th minute when he received a good cross but his header was just wide of goal.  Noveski then showed why he is considered one of the best defenders in Germany when he cleared a low and dangerous cross in the 21st minute before getting the best of Edin Dzeko in the 39th and 46th minute with some nice tackles.  Mainz had the superior chances and dominated possession but their finishing was awful.  Wolfsburg made them pay in the 82nd minute when Dzeko gave the visitors a shocking and undeserving lead.  Mainz looked stunned and could not recover as Dzeko finished them off in the 90th minute when he added his second goal of the game.

Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen – Schalke 04 0:2
Besart Ibraimi was an unused substitute for Schalke 04 who are now 1st in the German Bundesliga.

Germany, 1. Bundesliga, Bochum – Eintracht Frankfurt 1:2
Oka Nikolov started for Eintracht who fell behind in the 10th minute with some lazy defending as there was nothing Nikolov could do to make the save from close range.  He wasn’t busy in the 1st half besides the goal as most of the action was happening on the other end as Eintracht dominated possession and had far superior chances.  Eintracht finally equalized in the 29th minute when Marco Russ scored on a header from a well taken free kick.  Nikolov played a part in Eintracht’s second goal as he took a long goal kick that found one of his teammates who passed it to Brazilian Caio who scored a great goal to give Eintracht all three points.  Aleksandar Vasoski remains out with an injury for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Russia, Premier-Liga, Krylya Sovetov – Tom Tomsk 2:3
Goran Maznov got the start for Tom Tomsk who fell behind 2:0 after just 11 minutes but then Tom Tomsk scored three goals before the end of the 1st half in the 23rd, 32nd, and 39th minute.  Maznov played a part in the 1st and 3rd goal when first he was fouled in the box and won a penalty for his team and then on the 3rd goal, he headed in a ball that was blocked by a defender but Maznov’s teammate was there to tap the ball from close range and give Tomsk all three points.  Maznov played until the 88th minute when he was replaced by Denis Kiselyov.

Netherlands, Eredivisie, Roda – Heerenveen 4:2
Goran Popov played all 90 minutes for Heerenveen while Samir Fazli was surprisingly not among the 18 players called up after scoring his first goal last week.  Heerenveen trailed 4:0 at halftime and all goals were scored after a Heerenveen player received a red card in the 9th minute.

Ukraine, Vyshcha Liha, Kryvyi Rih – Vorskla Poltava 1:1
Filip Despotovski was not among the 18 players called up by Vorskla.

Romania, Liga I, Politehnica Iaşi – Internaţional Curtea de Argeş 0:0
Stojan Ignjatov played the entire game for the home team.

England, League Championship, Preston North End – Queens Park Rangers 2:2
Velice Sumulikoski continues to be left out by Preston North End manager Darren Ferguson.

Switzerland, Axpo Super League, Young Boys – Aarau 3:1
Aco Stojkov was suspended for this game because of yellow cards.

Switzerland, Axpo Super League, Sion – Basel 2:2
Aleksandar Mitreski did not play for Sion because of an injury.

Austria, T-Mobile Bundesliga, Mattersburg – Red Bull Salzburg 1:6
Ilco Naumoski returned from his four game suspension and got the start for Mattersburg who were humiliated at home by Red Bull Salzburg.  Goce Sedloski entered the game in the 20th minute because of an injury with the score 0:0 but it wouldn’t stay tied for long as Red Bull Salzburg scored six goals in a 46 minute stretch, the first one coming in the 23rd minute and the 6th goal coming in the 69th minute.  Sedloski was at fault for two goals when first he was outjumped and the Red Bull player scored on a header and later he was outrun by a Red Bull player on a counter attack.  Naumoski was substituted in the 72nd minute and had one great chance during the match but his header hit the post while Ostoja Stjepanovic was not called up by Mattersburg.

Austria, T-Mobile Bundesliga, Austria Wien – Magna Wiener Neustadt 1:0
Mensur Kurtisi was an unused substitute for the visitors.

Belgium, Belgian Cup, Roeselare – Cercle Brugge 3:1
Igor Gjuzelov did not play for Cercle Brugge who advance to the Belgian Cup final as they won 4:3 on aggregate after beating Roeselare 3:0 at home in the 1st leg.

Poland, Orange Ekstraklasa, Polonia Warszawa – Arka Gdynia 2:1
Filip Ivanovski was an unused substitute for Polonia who got a much needed victory as they continue to be in a relegation battle.

Poland, Orange Ekstraklasa, Lechia Gdańsk – Legia Warszawa 2:3
Pance Kumbev played all 90 minutes for the visitors who fell behind 2:0 after just ten minutes but they bounced back and scored three consecutive goals to get the win.  Kumbev made an important block in the 43rd minute when he got in the way of a dangerous shot and it went for a corner.

Poland, Orange Ekstraklasa, Odra Wodzislaw – Lech Poznań 0:0
Zlatko Tanevski played all 90 minutes for Lech Poznan as a RB in a 4-5-1 formation.

Poland, Unibet 1. Liga, Widzew Łódź – Motor Lublin 1:1
Dejan Milosevski entered the game in the 70th minute for the home team.

Czech Republic, 1. Gambrinus Liga, Slovačko – Budejovice 1:0
Ilija Nestorovski was very active for Slovačko and had a great chance in the 5th minute but his shot was saved by the keeper.  Nestorovski was giving the Budejovice defenders problems with his movement and did well to control the ball in the 45th minute following a cross but his shot was saved by the keeper again.  Nestorovski then turned provider in the 2nd half as he sent a good pass to one of his teammates who waited too long to shoot and the Budejovice defender cleared the danger.  Nestorovski played the entire game.

Hungary, Soproni Liga, Zalaegerszegi – Debreceni 4:1
Mirsad Mijadinoski played all 90 minutes for Debreceni and received a yellow card in the 64th minute.

Bulgaria, A PFG, Levski Sofia – CSKA Sofia 0:0
Darko Tasevski remains out with an injury for Levski while Igor Mitreski was not called up by CSKA Sofia.

Bulgaria, A PFG, Sliven – Slavia Sofia 1:2
Robert Petrov did not play for Slavia because of an injury.

Cyprus, Protathlima A’Katigopias, APOEL – Omonia 0:1
Boban Grncarov played all 90 minutes for APOEL and was at fault for Omonia’s goal in the 48th minute as their player went around Grncarov and scored past the APOEL keeper.

Cyprus, Protathlima A’Katigopias, Enosis Neon Paralimni – AEL 1:3
Vlatko Grozdanoski came on in the 86th minute and scored his first goal for AEL in the 88th minute with a header from a corner kick.  For the visitors, Ivan Trickovski played all 90 minutes while Petar Milosevski and Bojan Markoski did not play.  Markoski signed an extension with Enosis on Saturday that will keep him in their uniform for the next couple of years.

Cyprus, Protathlima A’Katigopias, APOP – Ethnikos Achnas 3:2
Edin Nuredinoski and Slavco Georgievski started for Ethnikos Achnas while Vance Sikov did not play.  Georgievski assisted on Ethnikos’ first goal in the 20th minute with a nice pass but they fell short and lost 3:2.

Cyprus, Protathlima A’Katigopias, Doxa Katokopias – AE Paphos 4:0
Jane Nikoloski played the entire game for Paphos who did not show up and suffered an embarrassing loss.  Their fans waited for the bus and chanted insults at the players for their performance.

Serbia, Jelen Superliga, BSK Borča – Partizan 1:2
Aleksandar Lazevski did not play for Partizan.

Serbia, Jelen Superliga, Napredak – Borac 2:0
Dragan Stojkov remains out with an injury for Napredak while Stefan Spirovski played the entire game for Borac.

Serbia, Jelen Superliga, Smederevo – OFK Beograd 0:1
Zoran Todorov played all 90 minutes for Smederevo.

Serbia, Jelen Superliga, Rad – Javor 3:2
Aleksandar Todorovski played from the start for Rad.

Serbia, Jelen Superliga, Crvena Zvezda – Vojvodina 3:0
Mario Gjurovski started for the visitors and attempted a 30 meter free kick in the 20th minute but it was saved by the keeper and it went for a corner.  Gjurovski also received a yellow card in the 42nd minute.

Croatia, T-Com 1.HNL, Karlovac – Rijeka 2:0
Vlade Lazarevski did not play for Rijeka.

Croatia, T-Com 1.HNL, Istra 1961 – Osijek 1:3
Armend Alimi started for Istra and played until the 50th minute when Traore took his place.

Israel, Ligat Toto, Maccabi Petah Tikva – Hapoel Haifa 2:2
Vanco Trajanov got the start for Maccabi Petah Tikva but was substituted in the 41st minute.

Israel, Liga Leumit, Hapoel Rishon Letzion – Hapoel Kiryat Shmona 0:1
Zoran Baldovaliev played the entire game for the visitors.

Slovenia, 1.SNL, Ljubljana – Olimpija 2:1
Agim Ibraimi started and played until the 89th minute for Olimpija.  He received a yellow card which was his 5th so he will miss the game game.

Greece, B Ethniki, Panetolikos – Agrotikos Asteras 1:1
Dejan Blazevski began the game on the bench for the visitors before he came on at the start of the 2nd half.
