Macedonian Cup 1/8 final 1st leg results

In ‘the final before the final’ Vardar and Shkendija played an exciting match that ended in a 2:2 draw.

Vardar and Shkendija played an exciting match in which the visitors had a 2:0 lead but at the end Vardar could have easily won the match. Imeri opened the score with a magnificient goal in the 8th minute of the match and three minutes before the break Ibraimi doubled Shkendija’s lead. In the meantime the visitors stayed with one player less on the field because Albanian international Mici was sent off in the 34th minute. During the second half Vardar played much better and managed to score twice through the substitute Kolevski in the 72nd minute and through Brazilian international Juninho who scored the equalizer in the 80th minute of the match. Which team will advance to the quarterfinals will be decided in their rematch in Tetovo.

Pelister missed a chance to defeat Rabotnichki. The hosts took the lead through Glavevski in the 39th minute but Sharkoski equalized in the 64th minute with a beautiful lob shot. In the 79th minute Pelister’s captain Blagoja Ljamchevski missed a penalty kick. He hit the bar of the visitors goal.

The last year Cup winner Akademija Pandev easily defeated Osogovo while Labunishta won the second league clash against their neighbor Ohrid and will have two-goal advantage ahead of the rematch in Ohrid.

Renova celebrated a victory against Tikvesh, in an incredible finish in Kavadarci. The nets rested until 88th minute when Zuka opened the score and just two minutes later Selmani dashed the home team’s hope of continuing their Cup adventure.

Bregalnica is the only team from a lower league that managed to win against the rival from the Macedonian First league. They beat Makedonija GjP with the lone goal scored by Gorgiev in the first half.

There were no goals in the matches Shkupi – Sileks and Borec – Struga.
