Latvian squad revealed

A total of 28 players have been summoned in the Latvian squad by their new head coach for the upcoming clashes against Macedonia and Poland.

Slovenian coach Slaviša Stojanović will make his debut as head coach of Latvia in the EURO qualifying match in Skopje against Macedonia. His first squad has too many players, which is expected since this is his first list. And this squad is pretty much the best available. Most of the players are domestic based.

Not on the list is striker Dāvis Ikaunieks who lacks playing time at Czech side Jablonec, winger Vladimirs Kamešs of Russian second division side SKA who was left out and experienced defensive midfielder Aleksandrs Fertovs of domestic RFS who is injured.
