As Metalurg's website reports, striker Cvetan Curlinov has been signed to a 2 year deal to improve the attack.
This is a curious transfer because Curlinov was presented as a Bylis player earlier this month in Albanian newspapers but he must have terminated his contract which allowed him to sign with Metalurg. Metalurg has opened the season with three consecutive wins but they were still looking to upgrade the attacking department. Curlinov is 25 years old and spent last year with Horizont Turnovo, although he was on trial to Bulgarian club Cherno More during the January transfer window. However, he was not offered a contract so he then returned to Horizont Turnovo to finish the season.
Despite his young age, Curlinov has played for numerous clubs throughout his career, including abroad with clubs from Azerbaijan, Lithuania, and Greece. Metalurg is his fourth Macedonian club after Horizont Turnovo, Pobeda, and Makedonija Gjorce Petrov.
