Goran Pandev scored his first hat-trick and brought a win to his Lazio. A wonderful Sunday for him, another magic and Pandev is the hero of Lazio, again!

Lazio faced Reggina away on Stadio Oreste Granillo. First Bernardo Corradi opened the score early in the 4th minute from a penalty kick after Lazio's goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carizzo fouled Franco Brienza in the box.

Pandev stole the ball from Andrea Costa, went around two meters into the box where his shot was a bit blocked by Santos, enough to fool Andrea Campagnolo and to tie the score on 1:1 in the 14th minute.

Mauro Zárate skipped two Reggina players on the left side, than crossed to Pandev who first took the ball with his chests and than shot with his left leg and brought Lazio the lead. This happened in the 21st minute. The first half ended with this score.

63rd minute and Reggina tied to 2:2. Alessio Sestu crossed to Francesco Cozza from the right, Mobido Diakité missed the ball and Cozza scored.

Another goal by the tandem Zárate-Pandev. Zárate served Pandev from the left in the 76th minute and he from some seven meters beat Campagnolo for the third time, scoring his first hat-trick in his career and also his 48th goal in the Serie A.

After this match, Pandev has 8 goals so far this season in the Serie A and 4 goals in the Coppa Italia. He is the best scorer for Lazio together with Zárate, both have 8 goals. Lazio is now on the 7th place with 30 points. Pandev's and Lazio's next opponent is Juventus. The match will be played on Sunday (18.01.09) at 20.30 on Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
