With today’s matches ended the first half season in both groups of the Macedonian second division. Belasica and Vlazrimi 77 are the teams that occupy the top and the only direct promotion position.
The East continued with problems as Turnovo got disqualified by the Football federation for to paying the participation fee in time. They only played the first 6 rounds, but remain on the table since they place more than half of the first quarter. The remaining three games were awarded. Biggest loser from this situation is Osogovo who is the lone team that lost points against Turnovo.
With Turnovo being already relegated, two more places will be decided in the second half season. Currently Osogovo and Pobeda from Valandovo are stuck in the relegation zone, but Sasa isn’t far away. It is expected these three teams to fight for avoiding relegation.
So far Belasica dominated and is at the top with 4 points more than second-placed Borec. Bregalnica and Kozhuf have 5 points less, while Tikvesh and Plachkovica are too far to be considered direct promotion candidates, although they are still in game for the play-off place.
The West is far more leveled at the top. Vlazrimi 77 and Gostivar share the top with the later being second thanks to a single goal in the goal-difference. Second comes Struga with only a point less, while thanks to today’s road win against the first placed team, Makedonija GjP also joined the promotion battle in last minute.
Novaci seems destined for relegation as they are last with only 8 points. Zajazi and Teteks are also in the relegation zone, but Lokomotiva and Labunishta aren’t unreachable. Gorno Lisiche is at the same distance from both promotion and relegation places, so in the second half season they can go either way.
The season in both groups will continue on March 3rd.
