Drama over Goran Slavkovski’s new club. Everything was arranged for him to go on loan at Serie B team Treviso when suddenly he changed his mind and accepted the offer from Croatian first league team Hajduk Split.
Although Slavkovski was very close to a loan move to Treviso FBC, today he signed a 5 years long contract with the famous Croatian club HNK Hajduk from Split. This is not the first time for him to swap clubs in two minutes as this January firstly he was supposed to go on loan to Premier League side Middlesbrough FC, but instead he joined Championship side Sheffield United FC.
Tomorrow he will have his medical tests and even the paper work is finished, the deal wont take place if he fails the medicals. Once it happened to him to fail, when he was supposed to join Middlesbrough. If everything goes well for him, he will play next season in the Prva HNL wearing the number 20.
Probably the influence of his Croatian manager, Jozo Palac, made Slavkovski to change his mind. He had a chance to gain experience playing for Treviso in Italy, but instead he decided to go in Croatia.
Slavkovski started his career at FBK Balkan as youngster, continued at Malmö FF and at the age of 16 moved to FC Internazionale Milano SpA. He became the youngest player to ever play for Inter in the italian Serie A breaking the previous record of Giuseppe Bergomi when he came in in the 83rd minute of the match against Siena on May 7th and had his debut at the age of 17. Recently he decided for which national team he will play and he chose Macedonia over Sweden.
