Both Macedonian players in Thailand, Mario Gjurovski and Darko Tasevski, netted one goal apiece for their respective teams on Tuesday.
The 5th round of the Thai league season took place on Wednesday. Muangthong United and Gjurovski faced a home encounter against Ratchaburi, while Tasevski and Bangkok Glass visited Chonburi.
Gjurovski continued his good early form as he scored his fourth goal of the young season. Several minutes before halftime, with the score still tied, Gjurovski found himself in the right position following a corner kick from the left and sent a precise shot to the back of the net. Mario eventually played until the 72nd minute when he was substituted by Dagno Siaka.
Tasevski, meanwhile, scored his first goal for Bangkok Glass since moving to Thailand in the winter. Darko scored his goal in the 60th minute after a nice combination with a teammate before slotting a shot past the opposing keeper. He then added the assist on the second goal for Bangkok Glass in the 70th minute. Tasevski ultimately played all 90 minutes in attacking midfield for the visiting club.
Besides each of them scoring a goal, the teams of Gjurovski and Tasevski experienced similar tough losses. Both teams conceded two late goals to suffer painful defeats. Bangkok Glass led 1:2 on the road after the 70th minute, but then conceded two goals in the 90th minute to go home empty handed. Likewise, Muangthong United led 1:0 after Mario’s goal, but then allowed two late goals in the 88th and 90th minute to drop all three points.
