Filip Timov arrives on trial at Teplice

Former youth national team player Filip Timov is looking to win a contract with Czech club Teplice.

Filip Timov, 22, is allowed to look for a new team since he’s not wanted by Concordia of the Romanian top division. He still, however, accompanied that team to their camp in Cyprus, but he is mainly training with the reserves.

On Saturday, Concordia and Teplice played a friendly in Cyprus. Timov suited up for Teplice in the game after the two clubs agreed to the trial. Concordia will not stand in the way if Teplice wants to sign Timov. They just want to get his contract off the payroll.

Timov played the complete 2nd half for Teplice who won the friendly 1:0. Based on the game analysis on Teplice’s website, Timov was active and had several chances, but his finishing let him down.

Teplice will make a decision on whether to sign Timov by next week.
