FIFA rankings: Macedonia down 3 places in 2019 opening rankings

Despite not losing any points Macedonia went down three places on the first FIFA rankings for 2019. That is because of the recently concluded AFC Asian Cup where many Asian national teams were active and collected points.

It is an inactive period for the Macedonian national team, but because of the Asian championship the Lynx got passed by few teams and went down three places. Macedonia got passed by the host nation of UAE (eliminated in the semifinals), champions Qatar (up 38 places!) and Saudi Arabia (eliminated in the quarter-finals).
