England and France are through to the final in women’s 19 european championship.
Both semi-finals were interesting, evenly-matched and both ended after penalty kicks.
In Skopje, England and Netherlands played a match where both teams mostly cancelled each other out. The match ended in a scoreless draw and after there were no goals in the extra time as well, England were luckier after the penalties. 9 penalties were good, but Netherlands’ Worm missed and that was it for the Dutch team.
In Kumanovo, Germany maybe had the dominance but it was France who took the lead, after an amazing shot by Barbance in the 28th minute. Germany did managed to equalize ten minutes later with Malinowski’s header. In the second half, both teams were trying to score a goal, Germany were more precise with their chances, but the many fans saw penalties in Kumanovo as well. Kleiner from Germany missed the goal, while all 5 french footballers scored.
Therefore, on 5th of June, at 15.00 CET England and France will meet in UEFA Women’s Under 19 Championship final.
