The fights continue

The fights on the football fields in Macedonia continue. But not fights for points, but fights in the real meaning of the word. The youth players of Cementarnica 55 were attacked and brutaly beaten by the fans of Sloga Jugomagnat and 5 of them ended up in hospital.

FIFA and UEFA mediate in FFM’s rift

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski embarked upon a mediation mission to bridge the differences in the long-standing rift in Macedonian Football Federation. Early on Friday, Gruevski met with the President of the Ukrainian Football Federation and a member of the FIFA Association Committee, Grigory Surkis for talks on the perspective of the Macedonian football.

Artim Polozani moves to Germany

Artim Polozani, the player of the year 2006 and member of the Macedonian national team signed for TuS Koblenz. The 25 years old midfielder and former member of Makedonija GP signed a 3 years contract with the club from the 2nd German Bundesliga.

Boban Jancevski – player of the season

Boban Jancevski has been chosen as best player of the Macedonian First League for the 2006/07 season. He won on three different polls organized by MacedonianFootball.com, the daily sports newspaper "Makedonski Sport" and on the joined poll by the daily newspaper "Dnevnik" and the "Sportsko Radio 90.3"

The S. American tour is canceled

The Macedonian Football Federation has canceled the South American tour. Macedonian national team with combined team and under the name of Macedonia B leaded by Misad Jonuz was supposed to play friendly matches against Peru and Venezuela on 13th and 17th June.

Srecko Katanec under attack

After the disappointing result from the match against Israel, the daily Macedonian sports newspaper "Makedonski Sport" made an article with the opinion of four former coaches of the Macedonian national team: Nikola Ilievski, Gjoko Hadzievski, Dragan Kanatlarovski and Gjore Jovanovski.

The circus continues

The circus called Macedonian football continued today when the the 2 play-out matches were supposed to be played. The match between Tetovo's city rivals Teteks and Shkendija didn't even started and Skopje-Sileks match started with big delay because of the double officials.

Macedonia defeated by Israel

Macedonian national team continued continued their bad run on home played matches with another defeat. Israel won important points in Skopje to keep the pressure up on Croatia, Russia and England for qualifying for the Euro 2008 from Group E.
