The big "Pelagonija derby" between Pelister and Pobeda was on the schedule of this round. The hosts were the better side, but the champion with a little help from the referee, escaped the defeat. After 7 rounds, Milano and Rabotnicki stayed on the top.
Unlike all other football leagues, the Macedonian Super Cup was played during the 6th round of the Macedonian First League. The president of the Macedonian Football Federation used the league match between last year's champion and cup winner to give the champions trophy to Pobeda.
Round 5 has been marked by the impressive Vardar victory over rivals Makedonija Gjorche Petrov. 4-1 was the final score and this round congratulations go for the red-black team. He won on three different polls organized by MacedonianFootball.com, the daily sports newspaper "Makedonski Sport" and on the joined poll by the daily newspaper "Dnevnik" and the "Sportsko Radio 90.3"
The circus called Macedonian football continued today when the the 2 play-out matches were supposed to be played. The match between Tetovo's city rivals Teteks and Shkendija didn't even started and Skopje-Sileks match started with big delay because of the double officials.
