David Babunski played for Yokohama in the Emperor’s Cup final, but failed to grab the trophy losing after extra time.
The years 2018 started with a defeat for the first Macedonian international who played a game. David Babunski and his Yokohama F·Marinos featured in the Emperor’s Cup final earlier today, but got defeated at the end.
David was in the starting line-up and stayed on the field until the 69th minute when Portuguese forward took his place. That substitution happened for minutes after the opponents equalized. Yokohama had the lead since the 8th minute.
The match went into extra as the 1:1 score stayed unchanged. Serezo Ōsaka scored the winner just five minute into the extra time and managed to keep the lead until the final whistle.
