After the big Winter break, the Macedonian First football league started this weekend. There were no big surprises and there were no changes on the standings after the 19th round was completed.

Miravci failed to defeat Teteks, so Turnovo and Skopje got closer to the top by winning away to Lokomotiva and Vlazrimi. Sloga and Belasica played 0:0 in the one of the most interesting matches in the opening round of the second part of the season in the Macedonian 2nd league.

"Vardar - that's us" is the motto of the newly formed initiative committee for saving FK Vardar - the most famous Macedonian football club and the club with most won trophies.

After making political problems with the name of the country, now the Greek  government involved the politics in sports and Greek sports federations don't issue certificates for Macedonia.

In the last days before the start of the second half of the season, Vardar got the biggest reinforcement of the attack. Aleksandar Bajevski returned in Macedonia after playing abroad for 6 years.
