Tikvesh adds new coach and 5 players

Second league East side Tikvesh started the mid-season preparations with new coach and five reinforcements.

The Kavadarci based club yesterday started its winter preparations under the guidance of new coach Metodi Sapundjiev who is a city native. Sapundjiev isn’t a totally new face as he was assistant to former coachеs Darko Krsteski, Goran Stojanovski and Bojan Zahariev. He is part of the club since August 2016 on a double role since he also coached the youth team. In the season 2011/12 he was coach of the first team.

Tikvesh released only two players so far, both moved to 1.MFL clubs. Attacking midfielder Stojanche Dunimagloski joined Pobeda, while striker Blagojche Markovski went to Pelister.

When it comes to the arrivals, the Winegrowers signed five new players. Brothers Sasho and Slobodan Dukov come from 3.MFL Center side Rosoman. The 23-year-old Sasho plays as secondary striker and has been part of various teams among which Pelister, Napredok, Turnovo, Miravci, Vardar Negotino and Serbian side OFK Beograd.  He is not unfamiliar with Tikvesh as he played there three seasons from 2010 to 2013. His 3 years younger brother Slobodan also makes a come back to Kavadarci.

Winger Darko Dodev (20) comes from Sileks while before that has played for Metalurg and GFK Negotino. Left back Jane Stojanov (21) is a product of now defunct 11 Oktomvri, but comes from Bregalnica. Meanwhile he used to play for Vardar, Rabotnichki and Vardar Negotino. The last signing is Stojan Petkovski (21) who also comes back to Tikvesh after playing for Pelister, Rabotnichki and Vardar Negotino.

Tikvesh is currently 5th in the 2.MFL East with 5 points less than Borec who occupies the promotion play-off position.
