Sample ImageMacedonian U21 national team managed to drew 0:0 away to Norway. The hosts were huge favourites in the game, but did not manage to put the ball behind Naumovski in the Macedonian goal

Macedonia laid deep and tried to drag the pace down. Norway struggled really hard to get past the Macedonian defence. In fact it was the Macedonians that had the biggest chance in  the first half, but the shot from about 8 yards went over Norways goalkeeper Andreas Lie.
The 2nd half started with a big chance for Flamur Tairi. That was Macedonias biggest chance on the 2nd half. Kristijan Naumovski is the hero of the match, after saving a penalty kick in the second half. Tarik Elyounoussi came close for Norway with only five minutes to play but none of the teams managed to score.

Macedonia played with the following squad:
Naumovski, Gligorov, Blazeski, Dimitrovski, Simovski, Stojkov, Tairi, Alimi (89' Siljanovski), Fazli (46' Gjorgiev), Trickovski (90' Petrov), Slavkovski
