Macedonian U21 national team visits Estonia U21 in the match from the fifth group for the European Championship qualifications tournament for players under 21 years of age.

Being only two points behind the second place, our young players must have every hope of reaching that spot with 2 matches to go. The first challenge will be the last placed Estonia in a match scheduled for today at 13.00 CET in Rakvere, Estonia. The current standings in group 5 say that Netherlands are leaders with 15 points, Norway and Switzerland follow with 10, while Macedonia has 8 points. Today's opponents failed to collect any points so far and in that spirit Estonia have not even scored a goal in 7 matches.

The Macedonian squad has changed a bit when Filip Petrov from FK Vardar was called up on the place of Sevdailj Selmani who has club duties. Yesterday afternoon a training was held on the stadium where the match will take place. Considering Estonia are absolutely chanceless while the visiting team still has theoretical chances for grabbing the second spot, Macedonia must be counted as favorites for this match. In the first match between these two Macedonia won with the only goal scored by Armend Alimi in the 75th minute, but in a match that was mainly dominated by the hosts. If Macedonia manages to win this match, then they will still need to have some luck and positive results from Norway's and Switzerland's matches before the closing qualifier - the match against Norway.

Today's match is scheduled for 13.00 CET and will be played at Stadium Rakvere in the same-called town Rakvere. Referee will be Villamayor Rozados and his assistants will be Laudino Lopez and Mario Coelho Macedo, all from Andorra. Online bookmakers have set Macedonia U21 as favorites for this match and 1.50 are the odds for their win. Around 1.70 can be found in bookies offers for this match to finish with 2 or less goals. Considering Estonia's scoring problems that bet can prove interesting.

What to expect in 2009!? Another year has left and a new one has arrived. We can't say that 2008 was successful for the Macedonian football in general, but can we predict what will happen in this 2009? Maybe if we summarize all the events from last year we can at least have a good look in what should we expect to happen in 2009.  Details...

FFM, go after Amauri, Almunia and Streit! Because FIFA’s rules do not apply for the Macedonian football federation as they wanted to give Macedonian passports to foreign players Washington and Osa, we are suggesting that FFM should also try and get Amauri, Almunia, Streit etc in the Macedonian national team.  Details...
