Round 31 preview

E-mail Print PDF
We are approaching the finish of another season and with 3 rounds to go, not everything is decided. Let's see what excitements will the 31st round bring us.

On Gradski in Skopje, Rabotincki will be hosting Pelister. The hosts have nothing much to play for in the championship as they are already champions. The visitors are with 7 points advantage over Vardar in the battle for the third place that officially leads to UEFA cup for the next season. A match with not a lot of battle can be expected as there's no special motivation for both teams. Milano will be playing against Vardar. 2nd team on the table also looks certain there having in mind the 6 points advantage over Pelister, while at the same time Vardar are with 6 points advantage over Renova and Pobeda. This might mean, that there's another match in which the teams might not be burning to play. However, we shall wait and see the opposite. This week a match in Bitola will be played when Makedonija Gjorce Petrov will be facing Cementarnica with the hosts stadium being suspended. With the draw against relegation rivals Shkendija from the last round it looks like Cementarnica have lost most of their chances for reaching at least 10th place as they trail by 6 points behind Bashkimi now. The 'hosts' are looking better after winning 3 points in the last round against Vardar, but this stadium-suspension certainly came in the wrong time. In Ohrid, Shkendija are to play against Bashkimi. Sharing the same destiny as Cementarnica, Shkendija's main sponsor has announced that lot of players and their manager will leave the squad. That means that we should be seeing Shkendija's youngsters take the responsibility in this match. With this and the neutral-pitch factor it looks like the visitors are favorites. Sileks against Renova and Napredok against Pobeda are looking like two similar matches. Both the hosts are fighting for avoiding the 9th place that leads to play-out matches, while both the visitors have nothing much left to play for except proffesional pride. We should be seeing two interesting matches more having in mind the visitors 'relaxed' finish and the hosts 'win-imperative'.

Whole round will be played on Sunday at 16.30 CET.
