 Macedonian international players were active during this midweek, also. Cup matches in Italy and Serbia and league competitions in Poland, Russia and Germany.
Serbian Cup Final Dragan Chadikovski won his first title with Partizan this year. Partizan has defeated Zemun with 3:0 in the final of the Serbian Cup. Chadikovski entered the game in 88th minute and had a chance to score only two minutes later. Italian Cup - Semifinals Lazio – Inter 0:2 In Italy this mid-week were scheduled the second leg’s matches from the cup semifinals. Lazio with our Goran Pandev was the host to Inter in the first semifinal. After the draw in Milan, Lazio had to win in order to play the UEFA Cup next year, so the Romans started the game very offensively. Only two minutes after the beginning of the match Lazio hit on the post from a free kick thanks to Ledezma. Few minutes later Rochi had a great chance to open the score but his shot went wide. Before the end of the first half-time there were two more chances for Lazio to open the score, but once again the shots of Pandev this time went wide or Toldo was there to stop it. In the second period Lazio has continue to attack but Inter managed to score first. Lazio has made a big pressing in the final half-our and also had numerical advantage in the last ten minutes when Materazi was sent off after the severe challenge on Goran Pandev. In the final minutes Pandev had another chance to score a goal for Lazio but his shot was blocked by the last player in Inter’s defense. Finally five minutes before the final whistle Inter has scored a second goal after the terrible mistake of Lazio’s defense and the dream of Pandev for winning a title with Lazio was over. Germany – Bundesliga In Germany the matches from the 32nd round of the Bundesliga 1 and 2 were played. Two of our five represents in Germany made a come back for their clubs. Igor Mitreski played 90 minutes for Energie Cottbus in the draw 1-1 in the visit at Karlsruhe. The future of Energie Cottbus in the Bundesliga 1 is not secured yet two days before the end of the season. Oka Nikolov and Aleksandar Vasovski were once again on the bench for Eintracht Frankfurt in the defeat 2:3 against Wolfsburg. With this defeat Eintracht lost all chances to qualify for the Intertoto Cup. In the Bundesliga 2 Nikolce Noveski has played 90 minutes against Alemannia Aachen and lost with 0:1. With this defeat FSV Mainz has lost the second place and felt on forth but still with big chances to join the Bundesliga 1 the next year. For this Mainz will have to win in the visit at Koln on 11 May, who is now on second place thanks to the win of 1:3 at Augsburg. Aleksandar Mitrevski wasn’t in the Koln’s squad for this game. Poland – I Liga Groclin made a draw 0-0 against this year’s champion Wisla Krakov. Filip Ivanovski was our only represent on this match. He entered the game at the beginning of the second period while the second Macedonian in Groclin, Pance Kumbev wasn’t in the squad at all. Russia – Premier Liga Maznov was the only Macedonian to play this match day in Russia. He entered in the 61st minute in the draw 0 – 0 between his team Tomsk and the big team of CSKA Moscow. |
