In the first round, the macedonian participant will play against the participant of Croatia. The first leg will be played in Croatia on 21/22 June, while the return in Macedonia on 28/29 June.

If the macedonian club beats the croatian, than in the second round will face a club from Israel. The first leg will be played at home on 5/6 July and the return away in Israel on 12/13 July.

In the third and last round of this competition, the macedonian participant will travel to Spain in the return leg, while the first leg will be played at home in Macedonia. The first is going to be played on 19/20 July while the return on 26/27 July. Of course, this will happen only if the macedonian club passes the previuos two rounds.

The 11 winners of the third round will advance to the UEFA Cup second qualifying round. 

Currently, the chance to gain a spot in the Intertoto Cup have Pelister, Vardar, Renova and Pobeda. One of these four clubs will be representing Macedonia this summer. 

This will be the last Intertoto season since UEFA decided that it won't take place anymore. The Intertoto Cup was firstly introduced back in 1995.
